For roughly half of my 27 years of psychiatric practice, I relied solely on traditional psychotherapy and medication to help my patients. But, after experiencing my own emotional crisis and finding a path of self-healing, I discovered a broader, more holistic perspective that I now enjoy sharing with my patients, with wonderful results!
“Mental illness” is, in part, a product of our genes and upbringing. But we then fuel our “suffering” with our thoughts and behaviors.
When we approach our lives with awareness, compassion and intention, we can literally change our minds and heal and rewire our brains.
